New Delhi: The Tax department has issued the due date for GST Audit to be 30th September 2020. But due to the partial working of companies in ongoing Pandemic, the department has further extended the date of filing by one month, i.e. 31st October 2020.


What is GSTR 9?


The form GSTR 9 comes under GST (Goods and Service Tax) comprising of annual return filed by taxpayers every year. All the inward and outward supplies made or received by the dealer is declared under different headings in the form. The due date for filing GST Audit has been extended many times, so the department has issued a notice ofno further extension of the same. Those who have not filled or want to rectify the form filled can now do on their online portal.


Understanding GSTR 9C


As GSTR 9 is the annual records of all inward and outward supplies, GSTR 9 C is the statement of reconciliation shown between the GSTR 9 and yearly financial account that is audited. The extension of GSTR 9 and GSTR 9C audit due date has allowed taxpayers to provide accurate and actual information.

Finally, now you know that for another month the due date is extended, so fill the GST audit return if you have not done yet!
