Latest Update: AGM Date Extended by MCA! Taking the pandemic into account, the Ministry of Corporate Affairs has come up with great news for the companies. The Ministry of corporate affairs has prolonged the due dates for holding AGM meeting. As per the Companies Act, every company established in India must hold an Annual general meeting every year.

Further, the AGM must be held within six months from the date of closing of the fiscal year. But this year, MCA has given relief to all the companies by extending the due dates of the Annual general meeting. As per the reports, due to lockdown and restriction on the movement, it became difficult for the companies to operate their annual general meeting.
